Ticllabamba is owned by Susy Dyson, the well known world model in the 1980s, who is going to be also your host, after having spent years absorbing the glamorous world of fashion, she converted her house into a fascinating private home stay. Susy´s guest lodge. The house built from the ruins of a colonial farmhouse is one of the only three buildings in the area, the others, a beautifully restored colonial plantation house and a monastery. Despite the rustic surroundings, Susy´s lodge has all the luxuries and services of a first rate city hotel and yet the bucolic Andean charm. Because of its location, and attention to detail it is the ideal base camp to excursions to Machu Picchu and sacred valley. Located much lower and warmer than nearby Cuzco, it is an ideal place to acclimatize before exploring at higher altitudes and this house gives you the perfect place to relax. The place offers two nice bedrooms with private bathrooms and hot water showers. It has a dining area with a traditional local adobe mud brick oven and cookery is held in the kitchen, with fresh vegetables and fruits that are nurtured by an Inca water canal. There is also a sauna, a cold water pool and a Jacuzzi. The place also has beautiful gardens offering fabulous views over Yucay and the sacred valley. .
